Is BEV down?
Got a nice shiny new CW 800s today. Loaded the bin: CW800SV1.86_2008_09_09

Everything is hooked up properly, on existing bell expressvu dish.

I can see Nimiq1 sat (which is all i should see) i choose autoscan, and find a whole wack of channels(394 i think) that all display: "Scrambled Channel" when selected... I am guessing its that BEV is down. Not a very good FTA first impression, especilly that this bin file is a mere 3 days old... can someone confirm this?

You need to enable the patch with F1 and 0000 on remote.

Im using bin: CW800SV1.86_2008_09_09

In the "Antenna Setting" menu, going through the ~60 different satellites, I get good reception on the following:

1 Echostar 1,2 (148W)
17 Echostar 7 (119W)
23 Echostar 6,8 (110W)
47 Nimiq2 (82W)
49 Echostar 4 (77W)

So i am guessing these are the 5 satellites i am capable of getting. However, at each of those satellite names, I see:

Found 41 Nimiq1 (91.0W)

in black text at the bottom of the OSD. Does that mean i'm really only seeing the one satellite?

Also, should I be going through that list of 5 and doing "autosearch" to each of them separately?

Thanks again guys!!!

1 lnb = one satellite

if you have enabled patch (patch enabled appears on tv ) -then i would go to one of the 394 channels and wait for it to autoroll the keys.

may take a few minutes

I did a scan of the echostar sats, still scrambled. I scanned "47 Nimiq2 (82W)" and got about a hundred working from what I can see so far. Ill leave it on one of the "scrambled" channels like Tooter suggested and wait for it to autoroll the keys...

Next step, Any way to get some sort of guide information? all I have is a 10 character channel description
