Echo 3 - 61.5

New member Username: RahulusPost Number: 2 Registered: May-08 | I recently moved to my new apt and my SW view is blocked. The dish rep came and installed 61.5 in South East direction so that I can get the HD channels. What changes do I need to make to my Pansat 2800A receiver to receive the channels including PPV and South Asian? I checked with Dish network and I can get them in 61.5. Much appreciated and thanks in advance. |

Gold Member Username: Saqeeb9000Post Number: 3822 Registered: Oct-07 | u need hd fta rec in order to watch hd channels for ppv and southasian channels u just need to plug in ur pansat ,change the port setting under anteena setting, install a newest bin and scan the channels. |

Silver Member Username: DimwittPost Number: 870 Registered: Aug-06 | if you had more than one lnb , they would be connected to a port(1-4) on a switch , then to your receiver. since you only have 61.5 the cable from the lnb will go straight to your receiver - no switch = no ports select diseqc off , legacy sw none ,in antenna setup |

Post Number: 330 Registered: Nov-07 | Rahaul, I just installed a dish to 61.5, the problem could be the transponder you use in the setup, don't use #1 there is not signal, change transponder until you get a good quality and then scan all. I catch b3v 82 first then I calculate and 61.5 was 30 degree apart, so I found it (but changed transponder first) and signal/qualtity was 80% on a 20" dish. Regards |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 11643 Registered: Jun-06 | The URL you quoted shows Rainbow 1 (Echostar 12) as well. Ignore Echo*12 in that list. Use Lyngsat - it is more accurate for OUR needs. For most FTA, scanning 61.5 gives 8 TPs. Only 2 months ago you could get 13 TPs. |
