If all yo want is 110/118/119 on one dish Dish 500 will do It will require 2-LNBs 1- Circular LNB for 110 1- LNB CB2008A for both 118/119 Just like dish 500 D#N used to have that service called dish 500+ They don't anymore as they use super dish for everything But yo can get 118 on a 500 dish This is one of the most well kept secretes It can vary from one place to another based on where yo live But it worth a shot since yo have to buy LNB anyway I adviced few people and they did get it with dish 500 |

Bronze Member Username: Adam2436Post Number: 28 Registered: Mar-07 | Using Dish 500 (20"x22.5") to get 118W is difficult, if not imposssible. Even if you do get some channels from 118w with Dish500, you may still miss a lot of channels and have signal problem when weather is not perfect. Another concern is you have to make your own bracket with precise geometry to hold these two LNBs, it is not an easy job to find exact sizes. Dish 500+ is a bigger dish, (30.9"x23.8"), thus has no problem to get 118w, and you can find the right bracket and LNBs for 110,119 and 118. |

I scanned it here few times in NY with 2 different LNBs on a DTV phaseII which is smaller dish than 500 signal quality 70% "Another concern is you have to make your own bracket with precise geometry to hold these two LNBs," Circular polarity bracket mount is easier than what yo think I taped them with white scotch tape I don't have 118 cuz I'm always scanning something different I live in NY with super clear view |
Bronze Member Username: Adam2436Post Number: 29 Registered: Mar-07 | Phase II is 24"x18". I will say it's a hack of the job to get 70% on 118w. Make sure you are actually seeing Internationl channels like Indian or Chinese channels, cause some STB has TPs coverage extended out of the actual 118w rang (11.7-12.2Ghz) so it might be the 119w's TPs showing on 118w. Scotch tape? Hmm... Quick solution but I rather use cable ties. |
