I have a viewsat pvr7000 and I also have window's vista. I have no problem loading. Make sure you are using the correct loader for your receiver. Make sure your loader comm port corresponds with the port in your device manager. Mine is set to comm5 so I had to set the port in my loader to comm5. To get to the device manager, right click on 'computer' on your all programs menu. Then left click on 'properties'. Then click on 'device manager'. Then left click the + on the Ports(comm and lpt) It will then show the which comm your usb to serial port is set on. Then make sure your loader is on the same port. Hope this helps
Just use a usb drive. And be sure to UNZIP the file and only put the pgm file on the drive. Then put the USB drive in the slot in the front (the VS), wait for it to initialize (it will display on screen) go to menu, system information, receiver upgrade, USB, press okay, contents of drive will show on screen, highlight file, press okay again, wait, do not turn off, after it finishes it will return to menu, then try it and see if you got it right..... I don't think I left out any steps, but you should be able to figure it out. In the future, just repeat as necessary.
After I opened loader2 , I got an error message "COM PORT OPEN FAILED!" When I clicked on DEVICE MANAGER in MY COMPUTER, I couldn't find the name PORTS to check the serial port!!! Any advice??
hello, i have a viewsat ultra 2000, i downloaded the bin PFTAUSW-080814U, but when i change channel on BEV, i have a message that there is no audio no video and it takes long time to get the picture and sometimes i dont get it.
I assume you are using a usb to serial cable since you have windows vista. If so did you install the driver? It should have came with a dvd that says 'usbpda/serial adapter driver. You have to install that driver before it will show up on your device manager.
