New member Username: MetalgearPost Number: 1 Registered: Aug-08 | Hey, I am new to all this I was just wondering if anyone could give me instructions on how to set up a multi-switch, basically I am running 2 cables from the dish on the roof, to two different recievers so it is maxed out, I am wanting to add a 3rd reciever but unsure on how to go abouts this. Thanks for any help! |

New member Username: MetalgearPost Number: 4 Registered: Aug-08 | I believe just two, I have gotten both to work slightly, although I find that I can not get a signal from some channels when I hook up the receiver through the multi-switch but when I just run the cable directly to the receiver I am able to get all transponders as well as a signal on the channels I normally wouldn't when using the multi-switch. |
Gold Member Username: PlymouthQuebec city, Quebec Canada Post Number: 3181 Registered: Jan-08 | Here is the way for connect 2 LNBs and 3 receiver http://sadoun.com/Sat/Installation/Multi-LNBF/4-receiver-4-lnbfs.htm Use only 2 first switchs and 3 first receivers. With it you can connect 1 or 2 moore LNBs On sat setting you choose port which you connect LNB 1 to port 1 LNB 2 to port 2 |

Gold Member Username: PlymouthQuebec city, Quebec Canada Post Number: 3184 Registered: Jan-08 | King He need to use two ZDS5007 connect on 1 Diseq switch for each receiver I dont see any Dp34 on any good sites, it must be use on Direct TV |

Gold Member Username: PlymouthQuebec city, Quebec Canada Post Number: 3189 Registered: Jan-08 | FTA TESTER read it please: Special Considerations * Can only be used with DISH Pro LNBFs (DISH Pro Twin LNBF for two orbital locations (110° and 119°), DISH Pro Twin LNBF with a DISH Pro Single LNBF for three orbital locations or up to three DISH Pro Single LNBFs). * When used with a DISH Pro Twin, the LNBF operates in its default state: one port provides 110° and one port provides 119°. Either port of the DISH Pro Twin can be connected to any two LNBF ports of the DP34 Switch. * Tuner Outputs: DISH 301 and DISH 501 have one tuner, and would use one DP34 tuner output; DISH 721 has two tuners, and would use two DP34 tuner outputs. * Up to three DP34 Switches can be "trunked" together, for connections up to twelve tuner inputs (12 single-tuner receivers (DISH 301 or DISH 501), or a combination of single-tuner receivers and two-tuner receivers (DishPVR 721). * There must be at least one DISH Pro receiver (or a legacy receiver with a DISH Pro Adapter) connected to the switch at all times to provide power. The receiver can be connected to any receiver port on the DP34 Switch. * DISH Pro Installations can support up to 200' RG-6 cable lengths, from the LNBFs to the furthest receiver. DP34 Switches can be placed anywhere in the installation, but placement closer to the receivers is recommended. * Two styles of DP34 Switches will be sold. Both switches provide identical features and functionality, but have different exterior cosmetics. * Can only be used with DISH Pro LNBFs (DISH Pro Twin LNBF for two orbital locations (110° and 119°) |
Gold Member Username: PlymouthQuebec city, Quebec Canada Post Number: 3190 Registered: Jan-08 | FTA TESTER DP34 cost 74$ 3X4 multiswitch cost 29$ each 4X1 Diseq switch 9$ each Total 76$ But you can use 4 LNBs and 4 receivers with it |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3188 Registered: Oct-06 | The biggest problem with that switch is it requires either 1000mA external voltage source or an additional old DN receiver in place of one of the 4-coax FTA receivers only go up to 500mA It's what I posted post# 3184 |
Silver Member Username: MuchoPost Number: 491 Registered: Dec-07 | None To add a 3rd receiver you will need a Multi switch SW-64 and install one cable from the new receiver to the Multi-switch SW-64. Power saurce is needed only if you connect four receivers. |
