Gold Member Username: Donnie1973Post Number: 3039 Registered: May-06 | i think the SV elite is the best out there. 165 for a dual tuner... yes, this means you can watch 2 games using ur PIP which most peoples tv' have now. Football is comming guys!!! |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3043 Registered: Oct-06 | Yep SV-360 Elite is perhaps a great choice as well 3 USB ports 2-tuners, PIP PVR on external hard drive But I find prices for elite 360 more like $180 to $200 price range Platinum is $160 I don't see their video resolution specs All they say superior video quality thru component output which can mean anything as component out is twice is always better quality Don't forget dual tuners yo must have 2 independent satellite signals one to each tuner if yo split the signal internally or externally yo can only watch dual tuners on same polarity When I made a video quality comparison I found Visionsat at least 25% sharper picture and colors than VU-sat If I get my hands on a SV-360 Elite I will let yo know I rank VU-sat among best tuners best service but worst video quality comparing to any receiver I tried SV maybe better but i'm yet to try it When I do I'll post it Bottom line yo can't beat a PVR receiver with an outstanding video specs all for $130 |

Gold Member Username: Donnie1973Post Number: 3040 Registered: May-06 | I bought one for 170 a few weeks ago, but saw last week a coupon for them. The platinim i got for 136. free shipping. I am curious if you can connect a splitter like dn does to get 2 tv's working using the dual tuners?? then u have 2 recievers for 165...! There has to be a way to separate the signals. I just now thought of it so I will read up on it. |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3047 Registered: Oct-06 | Can't do FTA dual tuner specs is: 2 tuners with 2 different inputs the 2 tuners got one common output on screen display It's not like DN receiver design which is made for the purpose of 2nd room TV receiver The only split yo can do is what's on the screen |
Gold Member Username: Donnie1973Post Number: 3043 Registered: May-06 | the dn dual tuners have two inputs with one output as well tho... right? using diplexer. it APPEARS to be very simillar |
Gold Member Username: Donnie1973Post Number: 3044 Registered: May-06 | yeah, i see the 2 now. nevermind. |

Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3049 Registered: Oct-06 | CNX is a great FTA receiver But I would go with visionsat as it is the newest most afordable PVR on the market today The SV elite is next hot item if yo can afford an additional $40 for 2 tuner receiver |
