If yo want to avoid double channels don't do blind scan or simply delete (electronically) what yo don't need Depending on what receiver yo got it may say channel scan or auto scan but not blind scan
ya my double channel post is down the list a little. but the deal is my dish got pummeled by a storm and i reaimed it and had to change my switch but i was missing channels off my e.p.g. so i hit factory settings and went to ant. setup and clicked my echo 7 and 8.10 back on and then scanned them from there one at a time. i get double channels with the same channel number but one says its on echo 7 and the other on echo 8 and they both work.
guys i all ready tried that stuff i have done this before but this time im getting strange results. its something weird with my setup of course thanks and keep thinking pleas
1) Select "Delete and press OK 2) Now select a channel you want to delete by using the arrow key. 3) Press the OK key after selecting all the channels to be deleted.
There is no effective way of not getting double channels. if you want to make sure that you are scanning all channels, you need to do blind scan and with it you will get double channels. You have to go and delete unwanted ones. You should spend some time doing this and then save under channel master. Next time you change the BIN you may update your channel list from the saved one. Off and on you do a specific TP scan to get channels that have moved and reedit and save.
