B#V is a 720p HD MPEG-2 (4PSK encoding modulation)
D#N is a true 1080i MPEG-4 (8PSK encoding modulation)
Any SD MPEG-2 receiver can see and load HD channels but won't be able to output 720p on a 480 video port resolution so an HD receiver is required
I personally think all HD FTA receivers are way over priced and they are maximum 720p output none of them are true 1080i output they are all inferior receivers that's the real rip off
But if yor craving HD I would go with Sonic View or Viewsat
I evaluated a regular SD VisionSat PVR $125 on a Panasonic 720p 42" Unbelievable picture and color depth It blows away viewsat crappy video And can record to an external USB Hard Drive like a TIVO
I can see quality on all E*3 SD Transponders with my Pansat 2700A. TP 12414 (92%) and I an in the caribbean. But I cannot see any quality on the TP with the HD channels.
Before thy change to HD I use to get quality on those TP's. I know the SR for those is 21500. I dont want to buy a HD Receiver and then I cant get the channels ... any ideas?
