I am looking at buying a captain 8000HD....I have been looking for some infromation on them but I am not finding what I am looking for. I was wondering if they are mpeg 4? I was told that I should be looking for a HD reciver with mpeg 4. I don't know much stuff about the technical stuff like the specs. of the recivers but I do enjoy testing them so far I have tested Pansat 2500, Ariza 700 viewsat platium, viewsat extreme, viewsat ultra, some are mine and some are not, but I would like to get a HD reciver now.

Nancy my friend have this receiver
This receiver is very slowwwww, but is cheap to buy.
Buy a Viewsat HD or Sonicview, more expensive but faster and easier to use, better picture too.
Now the support on Captain is good.

I am using captain 8000HD right now and I don't see it is any slower than other boxes I have (VS, CS).

It does not support mpeg4 right now but rumor has it that it might be supported with the new iks dongle using iks.
