Silver Member Username: MachedonulPost Number: 330 Registered: Jul-06 | i changed some stuff around at the settings, and now I have no signal on dish 110. I currently have: LNB Type: Standard LNB LOcal Freq: 11250 22kHz: OFF DISEQC: 3 Legacy SW: None Skew: 0 |
Platinum Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 15283 Registered: Jan-06 | The receiver settings should correspond to the actual hardware and configuration on the roof at the dish and switch...ONLY U have that info...it can easily vary fron house to house...there is NO "1 size fits all".... |

Platinum Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 15285 Registered: Jan-06 | Maybe not...if U provide what info U have, maybe we can help.. if U have ever received DN or Bev signals before on this dish...then we know the freq will be most likely be 11250...LNB type is either standard or DP (Dish pro, plainly visible logo on the LNB)..and if its a disque switch, then port # is going to be either 1, 2, 3, or 4 (try em all)...and all your other settings will be correct.. Once U get the correct settings, write em down someplace and save them...they can change by themselves, especially when loading a new file to the receiver.. |
Platinum Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 15286 Registered: Jan-06 | On a typical most standard muti LNB dish, the norm used by most is usually standard or DP 11250 119- disque #1, 110-disque #2, 61.5 - disque #3 22-off sw none We have no idea if U used a disques switch, depends who instaelled it....and bo idea which cables are wired to which port within the switch... and some dishes and LNB's have no extrenal switches, such as a DP TWIN, which gets the 110 and 119 sats with an INTERNAL switch...but the antenna dish receiver settings are still the same as I posted here.. |
Gold Member Username: NydasPost Number: 9998 Registered: Jun-06 | Andrew: It is true that any setting might be used. However, in practice many installation have Port 1 = 119W Port 2 = 110W. Also skew is usually -45 Sometimes, you may have to set Port = None with certain LNBs. Depending upon the type of installation, you may have to use (instead of standard) LNB type = OSC DP or DishPro or Universal in some cases. This kind of testing does not require going to the roof to look at the situation. Particularly, if you had the system working before and it has changed suddenly because of new BIN, it is best to test out using the above information. |

Silver Member Username: Bill038Post Number: 662 Registered: Sep-06 | Why is the skew USUALLY -45? The skew is different for every installation. Depends on where you live. One setting of -45 does not fit all. |
Platinum Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 15291 Registered: Jan-06 | Good point Bill..another Nalin blunder.. Andrew , give us more info...and have U ever used this dish before and received DN or Bev signals? If U need to realign the dish , for whatever reason, use this..
