Bronze Member Username: South2Post Number: 75 Registered: Oct-06 | Hi guys, Since there is no LZMA bin released so far, does this mean it's not supported anymore? And can someone tell me how to convert from LZMA back to PUFF? Thanks. |
Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 9816 Registered: Jun-06 | 4th April, 2008. There is one 261 BIN released in b75 section. There are 3 261 BINs released in PUFF section. There are no releases yet in PUFF_LZMA sections for 261 BIN. http://public.box.net/2500_full_kit Please read the documents at the above mentioned URL. |

If we have LZMA and wanna convert back to PUFF which box of the millions that you have do we read? I'm not about to download every single one of your boxes to my computer lol. |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 9817 Registered: Jun-06 | 4th April, 2008. There are three 261 BIN released in b75 section. There are over five - 261 BIN released in PUFF section. You can use the QUICK_PUFF directory in the PUFF section and choose the quick method recommended recently or follow the traditional method of update as describe in the full_kit directory of PUFF section. There is one release in PUFF_LZMA section for 261 BIN. |

Bronze Member Username: South2Post Number: 76 Registered: Oct-06 | Hi Nalin, Can you confirm if I use following steps to cinvert LZMA to PUFF---(C/P) from PUFF section: If you have PUFF_LZMA Boot/BIN or if you are not sure what you have YOU MUST USE this secion 1. Start 2700 to 2500 conversion software by Chancysand. 2. Select Boot in the Loader software. 3. Select Boot60 from the distributed software. 4. With the receiver ON, click on Write. 5. Wait for write to complete. 6. KEEP RECEIVER ON. 7. You will see horizontal night riders. DO NOT PANIC. 8. Close the 2700 to 2500 conversion loader and C. Loading Boot/BIN PUFF -- must use the 640K PUFF BOOT/BIN combo. a. Not required if you have already installed PUFF boot. b. If you used Section B, you must use this section. 1. Start the BL 1.4 updater. 2. Select Chancy's or jvvh 253 boot/Bin 640K file. The file name must have the word PUFF in it. 3. With receiver ON, Select BIN in the Loader and start write BIN. 4. When it has loaded it will say BURN on the loader software . 5. DO NOT SWITCH OFF. 6. When BURN is completed, your receiver will reboot and sat P-U-F-F 7. Leave it on. 8. Wait till it stops PUFFing and says ON. 9. Now switch it off. D. Loading latest PUFF BIN. This is the part to be repeated in future with newer PUFF BINs. You will always use PUFF BINs clearly labeled PUFF 1. In the BL update 1.4, select the latest 261 PUFF BIN or later and select BIN in the loader. Keep right hand on mouse ready to write. The selected BIN must NOT be LZMA compression. (if you have LZMA, you were required to start with b60 installation. 2. Turn on receiver at the back using left hand and as soon as you see P (of PUFF) scrolling, click on Write with right hand. 3. Again wait for BURN to take place and then the receiver will reboot, go through the P-U-F-F cycle and rest with ON showing. |
Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 9830 Registered: Jun-06 | If you want to go the traditional route, convert your STB first to b60 BOOT, an fthen go step by step to the next BOOT b75 - stay there or continue and go to PUFF Boot and stay there. Ukronics has specific instructions for converting back from LZMA to PUFF and they are in the QUICK_PUFF section. |

Bronze Member Username: South2Post Number: 77 Registered: Oct-06 | Hi Sirius, What chancy file you did you load? If you loaded boot60, you are supposed to have niteriders. then you load boot/bin combo, followed by latest puff bin. hope this helps. |
Bronze Member Username: Snuffles07Post Number: 79 Registered: Jan-08 | First, I loaded the Boot60. Then I loaded this one: CS_253T_PUFF_BOOT_Serial_Lightning.bin It said BURN then COMPLETE but the nite rider lights keep going. They never stop. They've been going for an hour and a half now. |
Bronze Member Username: Snuffles07Post Number: 81 Registered: Jan-08 | BUMP |
Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 9843 Registered: Jun-06 | Sirius Black: You have to use the 2700 to 2500 Loader Converter.exe for loading b60 boot then you have to change the loader to BL updater 1.4 to load the BOOt/BIN 640K CS_253T_PUFF_BOOT_Serial_Lightning.bin or Jvvh_Fortec-Pansat_CanAm_(PUFF)_253_(640K).BIN Perhaps you did not use the correct loader for the 640K file. It should start PUFFing after the BURN. These receivers are very tolerant, and you can redo it and I am sure you will achieve the objective. Sometimes I have found it helps to load the 294T bin after boot b60. |
Bronze Member Username: Snuffles07Post Number: 83 Registered: Jan-08 | Yeah I did. It's fixed now. all I did was load CS_253T_PUFF_BOOT_Serial_Lightning.bin all over again. For some reason, it didn't load right the first time even though it had said BURN and COMPLETE at the end. Thanks Nalin. |
