Wednesday, March 26, 2008 - 22:18 GMT LK: Cover your head with a dark plastic bag. With or without the bag you are in total darkness anyway. What the hell do YOU know about snow and protection from snow? DON'T POST ANYTHING ABOUT SUBJECTS YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE OF

Wednesday, March 26, 2008 - 22:26 GMT Get a can of cooking spray. Spray the dish. Snow will not stick. This works well for snow throwers. For lawn mowers and tractors, it keeps the grass from sticking. Good luck.

Wednesday, March 26, 2008 - 22:40 GMT Garbage bags are commonly used by intelligent people in winter months.. you can clean the snow off and slip a trash bag over it for the snow to slide off... signal will be fine as long as there is no really thick cloud cover or heavy precipitation between dish and satellite

Wednesday, March 26, 2008 - 22:42 GMT We don't use them in Canada, where we have winds and far better tools for preventing snow from sticking. So take your pills and stick the garbage bag over your head and lie down.

Thursday, March 27, 2008 - 00:15 GMT I'm in Canada, and according to my opinion: It seems to be that snow on the dish is not a big problem, since the snow only accumulate on the lower side of the dish, and the signal is coming from above. Offsets antenas, tends to be almost vertical when installed. The only time lost signal is when it's raining, because small rain drops on the LNB's. Regards
