i have usb port in my computer can i use it to download bin in my receiver, if i can't please someone tell me how to do it... i know that i need to use cable female to female serial but i have usb port thank u please help

Pansat 2500/FLU take DB9 F/F straight RS232 cable, even though converted to 2700 workalike.

Pansat 2700 takes DB9 F/F null modem cable.

If you are not sure what cable you have and it does not work, the best thing to do is to buy a DB9 M/F null adaptor. With the adaptor in, you have one type of cable and with the adaptor out you have the other type.

USB to serial convertors are notorious for problems and for slowness.
Buy only the type with its own installation CD.
Do not allow windows XP to install it.
Manually install using CD
Select COM1, or COM2, or COM3 or COM 4 port.
Use device manager in your computer to check and select the right port.

thank u nalin but i don't have DB9 female plugin in my computer i have usb in my computer can i use it to download bin in my receiver can i buy any convertors from usb to DB9female to female. i am sorry if i am bothering u.. thankz

I was trying to change back from 2700 to 2500 but know my receiver does not work, when I turn it on from the back I get the one line going back and furth and It would not go ON or turn off with the on and off button,please help.

The line going back and forth is what is called night riders. In this particular exercise, it is OK.
Just download the whole KIT and study the Instructions in both b75 and PUFF section.
THERE ARE NO SHORT CUTS TO KNOWLEDGE.

Everything you need for 2500/Flu to 2700 conversion in one package.
Instructions included. Either b75 or PUFF
