For now u just 1/2 2 disable autoroll and set the new changed keys. With whats on the stream keys will change agian. This time we dont knwo if it will go down so come on and by. If I need to change the keys manually as suggested by everyone, I do not know where to go. 30 minutes ago, I was getting some channels, now again I am not getting any channels. Can someone let me know what the basic settings should be on the Antenna set up. I have only one dish which is linked to satellite Echostar 3 61.5W. I had a Fortec before and we used to get all south asian channels and few american channels beginning like wpri, wlne, wabc, etc. On viewsat, we have not been able to get any of those channels. I have upgraded the receiver with the latest file 80305u. Please help and explain in layman terms. Thanks, rk |

Platinum Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 14299 Registered: Jan-06 | To explain this new DN PID 0106 keys... and Bev PID 0907 Dishnet (DN) has introduced a new secondary key code and provider PID 0106...the usual main PID (Provider ID) is 0101...normally we change the keys and autoroll to keys 0101, which we must ALWAYS still keep updated and current...but with this new PID (intoduced originally 22 October) we cannot change these keys, and the autoroll doesn't input them, so a NEW bin is required whenever DN changes the keys in PID 0106...The new PID can be used on any specific channels that DN want to , so in many cases DN will input them on the PPV's, adult channels,and international channels..so that why U can get the regular channels with the older bins, but need a new bin for the channels that Dishnet (DN) uses the new PID 0106 keys now... The same thing applies to Bev PID 0907 secondary keys...usually main active Bev keys are 0901, NOT 0907...but Bev can use either or both sets of keys 0901 or 0907....just like DN can with main active keys 0101 and secondary new 0106 keys now..ON ANY CHANNNELS THEY CHOOSE, WHENEVER THEY CHOOSE..OR ALL CHANNELS, IF THEY WISH.. AT THIS POINT IN TIME, U CAN NOT MANUALLY INPUT THESE SECONDARY DN 0106 AND BEV 0907 KEYS MANUALLY INTO FTA RECEIVERS..AND REQUIRE NEW FIXES...BUT SHOULD GET SOME CHANNELS UNLESS THE SECONDARY KEYS ARE APPLIED TO ALL CHANNELS... _________________ Dish Network (0101) [Last update: Thu. Plymouth and others also mentioned simply turning power switch at back of box off for a few seconds. Try it! I cant wait to go home and try it myself! |

Gold Member Username: NydasPost Number: 8860 Registered: Jun-06 | bluegillbilll: I think what feedback you are getting is about the routines you are supposed to adopt to get a better reception and less freezing. 1. Nobody seems to have recognised that you already know these routines and have done so. The other thing some of the stereotype responses don not recognise is the nature of the current problems. Almost all the receivers are experiencing problems relating to autoroll. Also DN has sent out several key changes. This happened a couple of times before when their ECM was related to autoroll of keys. coders came out with a solution but they were confronted with other problems related to freezing and rebooting. 2. The only thing you can do at present is to keep autoroll and autoTP off, to reduce these events. There will be a new BIN out to fix these things. I haven.t checked today to see if there is one out. 3. Do not get sidetracked or misled into beleiving that your alignment is bad or you did something wrong. |
