no, I try to get the 97w a couple of times and for some reason my birdog doesn't show quality, to make sure I moved to 95w and still no quality and strong signal strengh. I may download a new bin for the Birdog later on the week, because I wont do any testing during this week with this wicked New England weather.

Hey Nali, get out from the post, this is a 100% FTA stuff.

Take it easy on Plymouth
He is new
There are many new channels for 2008 is true
I'm trying to find out which ones

Hey Plymouth
I'm still not clear on which new cannels yo got?
Can yo please list on AMC-3 87W
That's what your thread says AMC3
I know what's on 97W Galaxy 25

Is there a mix up here?

Mario
I use a regular $10 sat finder and an unflashed FTA receiver for 97W I usually get it within 10 minutes or less

With a bird-dog it should be much easier
Try a regular standard Ku band LNB known as Linear LNB, Yo also should tilt LNB inside bracket clockwise or counter clockwise depending on your location

this is a great site for Skew, Elev, Azmith

Well
Create a new thread
List everything yo got
Dish, size, LNB brand, receiver (what state)
If yo provide a detailed list
I bet yo I get yo up and runing in few minutes

Actually I read all your comments on this thread
Yo sound like an experienced installer DN and or DTV
But your bird-dog is probably does not have updated TPs on 97W
If yo have a beep indication for 97 Orbit
Assuming yo got correct LNB type and tilt

I would wire from your 36" dish and LNB to FTA receiver and check FTA receiver meter level
But cuz this is not your standard procedure
This is why can't get that bird

Solution
Must use your receiver along with a small TV
Select TP 11898/V (strongest TP)
Move dish slightly to optimize highest Q level
Re-adjust LNB tilt once again for highest Q level

Come back and tell me how that worked for yo

this weekend with weather help I will get a try, King tell me (just for ask) looking from behind the dish your 97w is on the Right from the circular 91w. I ask you this because you are in NY, I live in CT... a guy send me a pic with 97w on the Left from 91 but he lives in Toronto...

I assume yo are asking one single LNB on one dish

Looking behind the dish
regardless where yo are on western hemi
97 on right, 91 on left

97 yo move dish clockwise
91 yo move dish counter clockwise
King's clock.jpg

If 2 LNBs on one dish
regardless where yo are
Looking in front of dish
High order orbit on Right
Low order orbit on left

i.e. 97 on right LNB 91 on left LNB
Looking from front of dish

Only dish skew is what yo do from back of dish
Dish skew is the only variable that depends on your location
