I have a dish500 with a dp lnb (2 outputs; I beleive each has a built in sw21 so no diseq or other switches are required) I have only one cable going from my dish to my VS ultra and all is working perfectly. I would like to add a second fta receiver 3500sd but don't want to run another cable from the 2nd output on the dish to the 2nd receiver. I was told that a dp34 would do what I want. Curious if anyone can help me with this before I make the purchse. Read about the dp34 and sounds right but only concern I have is that I will only have 1 cable going into the dp34 (110 and 119 on it because of the built in switch).
a dp34 will work.you hook up the cable from your satellite to port #1 IN and you hook up your receivers on port #1 and #2 for receiver,will work.you can buy dp3 on e bay for around $25US
