If you have high speed internet then the nfusion is a good buy. It's always up and running.

nono i don't think you know anything about nfusion..
do some research..
[link removed]
nfusion is like other reciever like viewsat etc. only thing difference is support..
its like this let say u have viewsat.. after a while bin won't be working any more.. what coders do create a new bin means change some codes etc and then u need to download new bins... right with nfusion its connected to internet.. means coders (by nfusion ). they have ur server and they will keep changing codes as dishnetwork do (with the phone line )..same with nfusion with internet line.. to make sure every thign is up..

Sada thanks for the info i worry about my IP address being out there 24/7 but if the following is true then i will not need to have the box online all the time:

Q. Do I need an internet connection to use this STB?

A. Yes and No. Currently (at the time ) an internet connection is required to receive certain channels on the Nfusion due to the latest ECM. When a 'stand-alone' bin has been release, you will not have to utilize the IKS (internet key sharing) option.

African - I guess my question is more towards the servers - are

they off shore located in Korea ? Could "Charlie " or others

extradite the info. on foreign soil ? Or get a warrant ?

ip addresses are not tracable becase they don't store it on there server logs.
its takes a very little data for tv , so it's not like torrents where torrents are very large in data transfering.

I bought three of them,in last 2 years it's been down only 19 hours approximatly, and when the newbin is out u should be able to update hrough internet, and usually internet is up most of the time here, and yes u can use it with phone line.}

Untrue IP addresses are Tracable to the wright people.

Look how fast these FTA coders break these ECM.

You already know who is calling before you
answer your phone. So please don't tell me
that IP addresses are not tracable.

Tina, There is no need for you to worry about the servers in Korea.
Charlie or others can have papers serve to
people that you had dealings with on the Internet including ecoustics.

Bottom Line, don't worry Life is full of chances.
Just do your thing.
