CW600s Missing Channels

I loaded the lastest update. I was surprised that when I hooked the receiver up that it went straight to the picture! I expected to have to do some setup before I got a picture. Any how, while flipping through the stations, I noticed there were a lot of stations missing.

So, I started all over again with the channel scanning process. It didn't fix the problem. Is there an issue with 110 (listed as 22Echostar 6,8? Someone told me that isn't used anymore, now it's 8,10 or something to that affect?

I never seen anything that said that needed to be edited on any posts or how to's. So, does anyone know why I'm not getting all the channels? And how I can get them? I've rescanned them every way possible, except for doing a blind scan. And some where along the line, I even lost the EPG.

It was a piece of cake. I don't know why I didn't do an all factory default in the first place! I kept just doing the factory default on the channels. In the back of my mind, I was thinking, DO THAT! It's just been one of those days!

After I did that, at first the channel came on with the sound, and no picture and said scrambled channel. So, I figured a flip to the back of the switch would take care of the problem, and it did.

I wasn't buying that the sat needed to be edited, because I'm sure I would have seen that some where in regard this receiver. In fact, probably, in BOLD.

On another note, the person whom I'm TESTING this for,is thinking of buying an easier receiver to update (it can't get any easier than this, can it)? He bought the receiver back in 2006, and it's just sat since June 2006. He paid $160 something for it, and offered it to another guy for $80 back about 6-12 months ago.

I see that these units are now going for 84-89 dollars, and I am considering offering to buy it off of him, if he decides to get another one. So, what do you think a fair offering price would be?

Thanks again Bruce!

That's exactly where my mindset was, no more than $40.00. Someone else told me they could get them for $50.00 but they have good contacts.

Thanks for all the info, it's appreciated as always.
