I loaded new bin from total fta and my view sat said caution: do now power off, about 10 mins went by and my daughter flipped the light switch and bam the power went off. Now I have a black screen and on the front of the box there are 4 green dashes, dose anyone know how I can fix this?
Rich you will be OK if you reload the correct file using the serial com port on the rear of the machine. You will not be able to correct this using USB port.
I had the same problem one week ago, I had lose the antenna settings, try to verify this, and make sure your Signal Quality is there. Then do an auto scan, at this point you must have all the channels and it remains just to load and other bin from an other site than total/thetotal.
you will have to install factory bin........then install the latest Jan 14 2008 bin........stay away from total/thetotal.........the best scenario is what Richard told you......dafi he will not be able to check the settings with a black screen.......
