Silver Member Username: Chicky3884USA Post Number: 171 Registered: Aug-07 | I have 3500s and I use echo 7 and 8 and its dish 500. I have it hooked up but now im missing more channels than I was before and it seems like ( for whatever reason) that both sats have best signal and quality when they are set to disq port1. Please help me. Thanks |
Gold Member Username: Ke5aqnIF I DONT KNOW THE ANSWER, I WILL FIND... Post Number: 1945 Registered: Sep-06 | cool a easy fix.... The dish500 LNB has a disq switch built in so no switch is needed. You connect the receiver to one port out from the lnb and then control the switch with the receiver. The 2 ports you see on the dish500 are for 2 receivers not one for 110 and one or 119... https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-video/414416.html |
Silver Member Username: Chicky3884USA Post Number: 172 Registered: Aug-07 | so.. its okay that both sats want to be set to port 1??? Sorry im confused. |
Gold Member Username: RtapFL Post Number: 1429 Registered: Jan-07 | chicky and TFT whats up.chicky does your lnb look like this. if so just run the a cable from one outlet to your receiver.remember for every outlet your lnb offers you can run them to different receivers with out a switch.. |
Silver Member Username: Chicky3884USA Post Number: 173 Registered: Aug-07 | Hey rtap. I think thats what it is but theres about a foot of snow outside and its still coming down so Im not up to climbing through it right now. So I can plug them into the switch ? and do i need to select a port for echo 7 and 8 or should I leave it off? because they both want to be on 1. |
Gold Member Username: RtapFL Post Number: 1443 Registered: Jan-07 | chicky if it looks like the pic all you need to do is run the cable directly from the dish to your receiver.this lnb incorporates the switch inside.no need to add a switch just run the cable. |
Silver Member Username: Chicky3884USA Post Number: 174 Registered: Aug-07 | so how should I set the settings? Should I leave the disq setting to off or???? |
Gold Member Username: RtapFL Post Number: 1449 Registered: Jan-07 | leave it off. |
