I keep losing signal on with my pansat 3500s And the picture goes to bad/scrambled channel. It comes back if you change the channel and go back. I think the problem is because when I change the TP freq. in antanna settings the signal comes back but when I hit exit it wont save and it changes and the signal drops. Is anyone else having this prob. And what can I do.
when you are in any fta satellite setup, and looking at different tp signal strengths, that is all you are doing, looking at them, there is no saving tp's. they are just there, all you are saving is the lnb type and diseqc switch port. that is all that has to be done!
Im pretty new to this and honestly I have no clue what you are talking about! Where do I find those ditec settings? Tim- yesterday someone told me the TP freq, should be at a certain setting and when I set it there I have signal but then it changes and signal drops.
It was never like this, it started to act up within the last 3 weeks ,so I loaded bin 339 and it took care of some problems and now This is something new. Once again Cartier, I have read and if you don't like answering questions and you already know "everything", why are you here? It hardly seems like a good place to meet single women.LOL
on the dish 500 do you have one or two cable going to it?
reason I ask is on a 500 you only need one then you have to use the tone burst option in your ditec switch menu to make the lnb switch from 110 to 119. That dish500 is tricky to get to work with a FTA receiver. Those 2 outputs on the lnb are not set up like one is 119 and one is 110..they are for 2 receivers to use it.
i have only one wire coming from the dish 500. from that one wire when i wanna watch 119 i plug it in port 1 on my switch and when i want to watch 110 i put it on port 2. but on 110 it says no signal.
is your system like this: one wire from dish500 to a ditec switch....then one wire to your receiver? and you chage the port that goes to the receiver to change from 110 to 119 manualy with your fingers ? that is wrong
the only reason to use a switch is when it goes to 2 different LNB's if you have only one wire comming from the LNB the switch is doing nothing then.....the ditec switch you have to control is INSIDE the dish500 LNB.
You NEVER would have to change wire manualy like that Thats what the tone burst option is for on one sat eather 110 or 119 you send the tone burst to make the LNB change......
this is something you set up once and it works forever
on menu for satellite install you send the tone burst on 110 or 119 ( I am not sure witch so please experment) on the other sat you set ditect switch to off
scan the sat's and watch tv
NO other wire or ditect switch required with a dish 500 antenna
In order to find out what sat you are are pointed at with a pansat you have to find a UNIQUE transponder for each sat...so when you in the install menu you can have it set to that transponder and know it is pointed at what sat you want..I can help ya find unique transponders I will go look now...
the story is so simple : if u are using only dish 500 by itself to get 110/119 with the dishpro legacy ..run one cable stright to the receiver and use in the configuration port 1 to 119 and port2 to 110 . there is an internal switch . if u are using other sat combined then u need a switch and you have to run 2 wires from the dish500 1 for 110 and 1 for 119 and u assign whtever number you connet with nthe switch .
only in twin legacy lnb u can run only one cable even combined with other sat but in this case you will use in your configuration : lnb type is : twinlegacy lnb1 119 twinlegacy lnb 2 110 and the number of the port ofcourse is the same . whatever u give to the switch .
