New member Username: DesimanPost Number: 1 Registered: Nov-07 | Hi Gurus I have Superdish and C**S*T 6K pointed to 110, 119 & 121. I also have a DP34 switch. I lost some of Indian channels on 121 as they are being moved to other birds (I get their EPG, but no picture) I used 110W LNB of my Dish 500 with Dish Legacy Twin LNBs and got 102 signal strength with D***N*****K receiver for 61.5W. However, I didn't get any signal strength of 61.5W with C***S*t when I used these settings Lnb = On Lnb type = Single Freq = 11250 22khz = Off Diseqc = 1 Committed = 3 Legacy SW = Off When I scanned for TPs, I could only get ½ of Indian Channels. (I read somewhere that first channels/TPs on 61.5W are HD, so one has to do TP scan?) I am in Fort Wayne, IN (Midwest). Should I seek 148W bird with my Dish 500? What is wrong with my set-up? Thanks for helping me! |

New member Username: DesimanPost Number: 2 Registered: Nov-07 | OK. I hope I get help. I did tp scan with only 61.W hooked. I got all the channels, but my tp scans loose the signal strength at their wish. I hooked all 61.5, 110 and 119. I get only 1 channel on 61.5W. Should I hook 148W instead of 61.5W? |

With the Superdish, whilst you can have three LHBs, there is a limit to its reach. That's why it is designed to take in 110W, 119w 1nd 121W. I doubt if you can get 61.5W or 148W with one dish and continue getting 110W and 119w. You have to have a second Dish pointing either to 61.5W or to 148W. Then use a switch to connect the three LNBs Your DP34 is a bit of a problem. It requires power and draws it from your receiver. You may get problems unless you separately power the DP34 using an old DN receiver or a separate power supply. http://www.microyal.com/dp-34a-instal-istrn.jpg Whether you point to 148W or to 61.5w with the second dish, the programs are nearly the same. |
New member Username: DesimanPost Number: 3 Registered: Nov-07 | Thanks Nalin Nyda! I have 2 dishes. One Superdish with DP34 (I can get 110, 119 and 121 on Superdish). I get EPG of all Indian channels on 121, but I am missing about 5 (since 121's channels are being moved). So instead of buying the conversion kit to get 118 on superdish, I thought I could use my Dish 500 (for 61.5 or 148), Superdish (for 110 & 119), DP34 and C**lS*T 6K. I do not have the power supply for DP34, but I have a DN receiver (works that I used to point 61.5W) I appreciate your reply, and I think you can help me on this. Thanks again! |

New member Username: Starry_dish27Post Number: 2 Registered: Nov-07 | THIS MESSAGE IS FOR NALIN(or any other kind soul who knows about 121 west (DESI CHANNELS) Hi, I have a similar issue. I have 110, 119 ND 121. I have a super dish and a smaller one for 110 & 119. I got the recent files for viewsat loaded, and scanned for channels (110, 119 & 121.) The 110 and 119 work perfectly fine. For the 121 too the signal strength and quality are above 60 %, but I don't get any signals when I go to the guide (the guide has "no information" in the place of the program name. Can you please advise as to what needs to be done? Thanks in advance |
New member Username: DesimanPost Number: 5 Registered: Nov-07 | Nalin Nyda I found out I had a bad RG-6 Cable. Now I got 61.5 working. I have set it to 119 LNB on Dish 500 LNB - 18V LNB - Single LNB Freq - 11250 22 Khz - OFF DiSEqC Switch - 1 Committed - 3 Legacy SW - Off Did Blind and Auto Scan, 97% Signal/Quality. However I am missing Channels 611, 617, 619 (ZeeTV, Zee Cinema, B4Umovies) Any suggestions? |
