I have CS7000 and having urgent problems with my USB... When I insert my USB into my PC, my PC will not recognize it... The first few times, it recognized it, but now it won't. I tried formatting it on my CS 7000 receiver, but it said that it has failed.... I have also tried using my 9 pin cord, but it said it wasn't connected.... I use to have the CS5000, but it worked well on it....Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

depend on your description the problem is not concerning with your PC .it may be the connection head broken in your STB ,many people has this problem when they pressed to hard to plug into 9 pin serial cable RS232 ,to be sure test to find the brigde on the STB `s motherbor

The 9 pin serial cable RS232 works on CS5000....I just added a new bin to my father-in-laws receiver.... I connected the 9 pin serial cable back to my CS 7000 receiver and I loaded up CS Pro Loader V.2.4 and when I press Auto Detect, it said "Connect your receiver and turn it on".... I first connected my 9 pin cable, plugged in the power cord, turned it on and now it said that.... Could you please explain how to test the bridge on the STB's motherboard? Sorry, I'm not good with all this....

To see the solder dot broken or not you have to open your receiver and use any Ohmeter to probe ,this problem should happen to any electronic device where the batch of connection pin soldered to a motherboard ,because each time when people used to plug or unplug a cable, it will cause some movement which force to deteriorate the solder point
