Hello, the captiveworks loader is weird, in order to connect, press the on button in top right corner to connect, this should get you going, if your new to loading this thing.
guys it's great that you try to help this guy . but i dont appreciat someone asking question and desapear. and the rest keep guessing . at least if he solve his problem , he should come back and give a feed back. or maybe he was busted who knows.
Nikk Great diagram of the Null Modem Cable configuration. I would just like to point out, however, that the "TX" & "RX" labels on the right hand side should be swapped so that the TX (output) goes to the RX (input) for each channel. The cable will still work the way you have drawn it, its just the labels that are mixed up! Htiek
well anyways, I've seen it for over 5 years now...its sole purpose was to demonstrate that a null modem cable is NOT a straight cable cause pins 2-3 crossover..
Nikk Not wishing to split hairs, but I just noticed something else: The pin-out for the right connector is mirrored compared to that on the left. . . The one on the left is correct, (looking from the back, inside of the connector housing), the one on the right is wrong! Htiek
I'm no expert but you should try this : - use loader 1.06 * be sure to use the right 'com' selection/option in the program - put it in standby mode (like you are doing) - install factory bin - then install the latest bin * install icon bin if you wish - rescan everything
That should get you up ...
If that doesn't work suspect a faulty cable.
Keep us posted or if anyone thinks I'm off .. please reply
Hi Nikk Thanks for reversing the DB9 on the right there, it is now correct. However, the Tx and Rx labels are still swapped on the right hand side, as I pointed out in my first post. Sorry to be such a nerd over this, and I am somewhat off topic too, but if you are going to fix it, it might as well be right! Htiek
