Subscription DirecTV & Dish Network are not licenses to do business in Canada. With a friend in this good old USA?
FTA If you live in the provices of Alberta with a FTA setup you will be better off to point your Dish to EchoStar 9 @ 121.oW or 1 & 2 @ 148.oW. Both these Birds have Indian Channels.
I am pretty sure you can get Indian programming with a 1 meter or 1.2 meter dish with a motor, or move up to a 10'-12' dish there is a bunch of channels scattered around sats on both c/ku.
