I have a Samsung 42" plasma that I have just Comcast going straight into the coax in the back. I tried it last night and I get all the locals in HD and then some HBO and Showtime and all of the music channels (who cares). The issue is that I tried again this am to look at the channels and several are no longer coming through. I have the Comcast box still on other tv's with HBO and Starz. Enough of the background here are the questions:
I do not have a cable card slot...do they have an adapter that will allow me to still use the cable card?
Can I expect to see more channels with a better splitter or is this just up to Comcast as to what is sent into my house?
If I drop my box and get regular cable will I still get the same stuff?
Sorry...I mean the splitter outside. I have 4 tv's and what i have read, sometimes there is a signal los...is there any truth to that? If so would a better splitter "outside" work?
Com*cast forgot to put a trap to block encrypted channels. Sometimes they are feedback from a neighbor sharing same hub And sometimes they are just HD/digital tests or promos I would keep quite about it But please come back and list any unusual findings
