Disxnet plans to be done converting their 121 customers to 118.7 by March 1, 2008. At that time 121 is sceduled to go dark.
It takes a special lnb to receive 118.7. It's a circular lnb transmitting in a linear frequency. You can read up on it at sadoun.com. Just look up the dish1000+ or the dish500+. There are also other market lnb's you can use. Try hxxp://transatelectronics.com/store/118%C2%B0-circular-10750-dual-lnb_P272?gclid =CPy-2fX62Y4CFQf_YAodbCIgSw for instance.
The next challenge is many sat files do not have the definition for 118.7. Does your satfile have an entry for Anik F1 at 107.3W? There are actually two defs for that sat, one is Cband and the other is Ku band (that's the one you want) If you have that satellite (the tp's start with 11715) you can use it instead of the 118.7.
If not, you can either get the tp assignments from lyn'gsat.com and input your own.
