Would anyone here know where I can get a close up drawing of a Satellite showing where the transponders(TPs) are located?

I think TP's are built INTO a satellite:

Very interesting but, not what Iam looking for.
This website is about a very small Amateur Satellite with two to four flex wip UHF, VHF Antennas. Thanks much for your time.I will keep looking, it has to be out there.

BTW wouldn't you think that the TPs be located outside in order to receive the uplink signals.
Just like a repeater tower.

Our own bodies have transponders, to send signals/electrons to our nervous and other systems..and they are inside...LOL

Hey, Nikk
Very nice, it's hard too see but it looks like the TPs are all group together. The rest of the bottom looks like octopus legs.

BTW check the thread "zulu"

Nice pic Nikk.....Transponder by definition:
Transponder
A combination receiver, frequency converter, and transmitter package, physically part of a communications satellite. Transponders have a typical output of five to ten watts, operate over a frequency band with a 36 to 72 megahertz bandwidth in the L, C, Ku, and sometimes Ka Bands or in effect typically in the microwave spectrum, except for mobile satellite communications. Communications satellites typically have between 12 and 24 onboard transponders although the INTELSAT VI at the extreme end has 50.
