Actually currently the 4th best record in all of the major league (30 teams). Not bad for a team that's supposed to end up last place! I look at it this way, the Yanks are in the hunt for their 27th World Series Championship!! Now THAT, is a big deal! lol

..in fact just the opposite was expected, especially from ALL the Yankees fans who said their offense and piching was great and MUCH better than the Sox......The Red Sox are in FIRST place and the yanks have the 4th best record in the American league...yes , ANY team who comes in 4th out of 14, has a chance to get to the world series...
As ANY baseball person knows, Tampa ALWAYS has exclusive rights to last place!...the Yanks were expected to win their division, NOT barely make 4th place and a wildcard!....LMAO
