If you have Pansat 2500 or clone of it or FLU, the 2nd number of key 00 and Key 01 does not come through at the time of autoroll.
Let the autoroll work till the 200-300% stops and is off the screen. Yhen go in and you will change the 2nd number of both keys. If you can't get to Internet or do not want to wait. You can change these two numbers, using yopur Windows calcular or a scientific calculator
For 293 and 293T BINs Real_2nd_number = autorolled_2nd_number XOR C5H
You can also use the following table.
If using BIN 294, 294T, 286, 286T XOR 2nd number (byte) with 43 Hex or use this table.
1st Digit | ------- | 2nd digit 0 <---> 4 | ------- | 0 <---> 3 1 <---> 5 | ------- | 1 <---> 2 2 <---> 6 | ------- | 2 <---> 1 3 <---> 7 | ------- | 4 <---> 7 8 <---> C | ------- | 5 <---> 6 9 <---> D | ------- | 6 <---> 5 A <---> E | ------- | 8 <---> B B <---> F | ------- | 9 <---> A E <---> A | ------- | C <---> F F <---> B | ------- | D <---> E
If using BIN 293 and 293T XOR 2nd number (byte) with C5 Hex or use this table
1st Digit | ------- | 2nd digit 0 <---> C | ------- | 0 <---> 5 1 <---> D | ------- | 1 <---> 4 2 <---> E | ------- | 2 <---> 7 3 <---> F | ------- | 3 <---> 6 4 <---> 8 | ------- | 8 <---> D 5 <---> 9 | ------- | 9 <---> C 6 <---> A | ------- | A <---> F 7 <---> B | ------- | B <---> E Estrella has suggested above the use of Windows Calculator. It is available from Start/Programs/accessories/calculator. Choose Scientific calculator, and then choose HEX in the scientific calculator.
Worked every time after allowing the keys to autoroll. You can use windows calculator - put it in scientific mode and change the input to Hex. The use the calculator like any other arithmetic. You do not need to go to the Internet to get the keys. Table method is posted in the beginning of this thread.
For about two weeks now, I have been using the technique of changing the 2nd numbers without referring to the computer and Internet and it has worked consistently.
It is called testing. Of course,I could have looked up the keys. But I had put a piece of information and a formula to use and I wanted to see if it works consistently. And it is working.
It is very good advice. The first sticky in Pansat discussion at http://www.dssrookie.com and specifically at http://www.dssrookie.com/forums/img-src-images-pansat-png-border-0-b-font-color- 0000ee-pansat-font-discussion-b/
is about : change keys without searching for it
and initially the instructions were for first byte, but for the past 10 days or so, my instructions have superceded, as the key morphing changed.
Look at page 10 of that thread http://www.dssrookie.com/forums/img-src-images-pansat-png-border-0-b-font-color- 0000ee-pansat-font-discussion-b/change-keys-without-searching-for-it-146967-10.h tml

If you have ANY concerns for the truth, I suggest you leave this thread and let the people who want to use an alternative method use it.
Its MUCH simpler to just SHUT OFF AUTOROLL and manually enter the keys posted here and every other DSS site or keyfinder utility...or upgrade and BUY a newer receiver and DUMP that dinosaur 2500 or its clone...Blacklist told everybody 8 months ago, that its a POS and he will NOT support it any more!
When you are watching TV and the new keys come in under 294T BIN, it take about 90-110 seconds for the keys to come in and for changing the second byte. LK - you do not have a Pansat clone using 294T BIN nor a Pansat using 2500 BIN. LEARN THAT the keys come in even if the autoroll is off. LEARN THAT at that time the latest keys are not yet posted. LEARN THAT by the time one cna get on the internet and copy all 16 numbers and change the 2nd number on the other key and restart it is about 7 to 15 minitues of missed TV. LEARN THAT and STOP YOUR INSANE POSTS!!!
ALL ABOVE IS FROM TESTING AND PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OVER THE LAST 2-3 WEEKS
This method works perfect.If your still using the afore said bins. It is much faster than looking up the keys. Thanks for all your efforts.
Oh and LK....Theres absolutely no reason to turn on autoroll.It still works with it turned off.Always has.Have never had to turn A/R on even when the bins worked.
well then U CHEAP fucuuckers should breakdown and but a newer receiver...u're dealing with a dinosaur, that is NOT even supported anymore!...ANY receiver pays for itself in about 15 days, if U watch ANY premium channels, PPV's or events...CHEAP basta*rds...I guess U need your welfare checks for the trailer rent!...

Maybe u should tell them idiot...where to even LOOK in their receivers to find where the keys are, before they do your ridiculous HEX method!...once they're in there, whats the diff between entering 32 bytes or 2...about 10 seconds...screw that BS and HEX stupid formula, thats ridiculous....I guess u bring your car in for an oil change but U change 2 quarts yourself and have then change 3 quarts...LMAO
I say breakdown, and spend $99 and buy a new receiver...U nalin (Joker) who says is wealthy, retired, an administrator, and drives a Porshe, ...sure are CHEAP...

LK (period) U STINK (period) You sound like your on the rag again(period) The 2500s still work as 2500s and converted to 2700. Thats what i call support.(period) Why in the fuucccck would i want to by any other piece of crap at this time. And when it no longer is supported in any way it still will continue as it was meant to be, FTA. I could easily stand a few months without all the reruns anyway.So blow it out your azz.
ok guys this is part of what i read in nalins first post "If you can't get to the Internet or do not want to wait"...... I personaly think this is great info for some people. Myself I either don't watch TV ( like latety ) I am just to lazy to keep changing the keys. But I am aware that some people go to an internet cafe and log onto this site because they don't have internet at home. So...... this info that Nalin has provided us with is great for them. Keep up the good work Nalin.
I know someone that has to turn his computer on-wait-wait-wait---then connect through a dial up---wait-buzz-bleep-buzz-wait-then come here and click the new key thread and again that dial up -wait-wait-wait for the page to load,just to get the keys.
Hes thrilled with your graph. Thanks from him too Nalin.

I already posted this piece in the "How to find new keys" thread, but I thought I would quote it here as well, because this is where it really belongs, hope nobody minds.
I have a FLU running 286T,have been using the method posted by Nalin for some time now and find that it works very well. Personally, I don't bother to turn the autoroll on, as the method still works even with it off. The trouble is that if, (being forgetful), I don't switch the autoroll off, before watching TV, the corrected keys will end up corrupted again, by the autoroll, after just a few minutes of watching!
Buy a new $99 receiver and get rid of those pansat 2500 and clones...they are DINOSAURS and NOT supported anymore.....NO NEW FILES FOR THEM AGAIN.......at the very least, convert them to a pansat 2700 clone...manually input of Keys is primitive and not necessary...especially when they may change 5-6 times a day!

I have a Clone pansat 2500 and I try to change to Pansat 2700 but my laptop doesn't have a serial port DB9. And I buy an adapter to change the serial port to USB but I don't put the bin to the Pansat. I use the Blacklist updater 1.4 Mmmm what did you recomend to me?
