Probably not...depends on which dish U have ...and what sats U want...and how experienced and capable U are of aligning it...

U need to go to another site and begin to read all the forums, manuals, and guides...there are None here..

Brian : For a start go to
http://www.lyngsat*com and see what FTA channels are out there. In most cases, you will need a 30-30" dish, so DTV dish may not be any good.

You can use the DTV dish as a passive reflector and buy LNBs for DN. The DTV LNBs will not work. Many of the good FTA channels are only accesible from a 30" dish.

Brain....the DTV LNB's WILL work...nalin has no clue what she's talking about....U may have to move them, but they will work...and all U need is a small 18 inch dish from DTV, contrary to nalin again giving U wrong info stating U need a 30 inch dish to use the FTA receiver for Dishnet (DN) channels......

Comprehension LK you are correct on the Dave lnb for charlie of v3b.

but you poor comunication skills have once again failed you drastically.

Nanlin stated

FTA channels are only accesible from a 30" dish.

Which is some what the case. You can't pick up say telstar5 97w with a pizza pan.

so this delusion below.

contrary to nalin again giving U wrong info stating U need a 30 inch dish to use the FTA receiver for Dishnet (DN) channels......

Just shows how one can tell you apart no matter what name you happen to post under for any given second on this site. You can rotate and post under all the names you wanted but you lack of skills always shines bright !

Brian,

You have to subscribe to DirecTV or try to find some sub-sharing option.

LK is the one who first introduced the sub-sharing to me, when I was a newbie. But ... sub sharing is basically .... you with some neighbor or friend get subscription from DirecTV and you each pay half - half. For info on how this sub-sharing works and what are the benefits ... ask LK because he'll explain it to you step-by-step, if you ask him in a polite way ... lol
