My receiver is C00lsat 5000 pro, with 1.35 bin. Previous GC keys worked on this bin, but not this new one. I guess we'll just have to wait and see which bin works with this key on CS 5000 receiver. |

I do know that top channel, euronews, pink, rtv21 are the first ones to drop. What I do know for sure is that Setanta is not FTA, it was for dish a while ago I think, but not for GC. |

I have not tried any of the solutions suggested below. I thought to share it with you and we all can post the results and/or our findings. SO, enjoy .......... =========================================== Q: Why can't I input the GC keys manually? A: Because thats how the new bins are designed. The keys are hidden. -- Q: Why are the keys hidden? A: Because for Pansat's protection against their discovery. Only team Blacklist found the GC autoroll algorithm, so they want to protect it. -- Q: Great, team BL found the autoroll algorithm, but my 2700A is not rolling keys. Whats going on? A: Supposedly the 2700A and older pansat models DO NOT HAVE a working autoroll fix, hence, the keys will not roll unless you have a pansat 2800 or newer model. -- Q: Um, okay. So why doesn't the 2700A have a GC autoroll fix, i just bought it (or i've had it only for a year!) A: The best answer as far as i know is that the 2700A and older models have clones out there. Once there are clones, exclusive pansat software will be used on them and for business reasons pansat doesn't like that! -- Q: Ok, so screw autoroll. I'll input the keys myself. But how can I do that on this newest bin A: You can't, switch back to bin 205 where you can input them manually. You will have to sacrifice DN/BEV autoroll functionality. -- Q: Will there be keys put out for GC? A: Hopefully they will be leaked. There it is, this is the situation as far as we know. ======================= They suggest to do the following to fix above problem ( I have not tried it) Please understand the basics. First of all: 1. 2700 bins have a GC key embeded in it, and by this same time putting keys for GC by remote was disabled. 2.If u put or keep autoroll on for GC, u gonna have picture at no more than 3 min at the best or not at all. About every 3 min receiver compare keys in the GC slot with the keys in the stream, and if there is a diffrence, than u loose the picture, then autoroll kicks in and start looking for keys. And because autoroll for GC doesn't pick right keys(distorted intentionally by BL-takes wrong keys), then embeded keys in the bin are replaced by autoroll function with garbage keys and u not gonna have picture on the GC. Solution(s) 1) if you have not have picture on GC and autoroll for GC is on and you put the bin on Nagra 2 scrambled channels on GC - it means your embeded GC keys are replaced by no good bogus key. ---------what to do --------- ===turn autoroll for GC to OFF, hit default key which brings back all keys back to where they were when u put new bin in the receiver===== === this bring u GC picture on right away, but u loose the present keys for DN and Bev, so if u put on Dish 200(CNN) should give u present DN keys at no time and weather channel on BEV should give u Bev key in less the 3 min. If u do not get keys for bev, then try to change channels or reset the receiver by back panel switch for 15 sec and everything suppose to fly. 2) if u put the new 208 bin in the receiver and didn't expose the receiver bin to the GC stream (which means u didn't put on any GC channel), then it means that your embeded GC keys are intact. -------what to do-------- ====turn autoroll for GC to OFF and u gonna have picture on all Nagra2 GC channels. I have 2500 converted to 2700, 2700 and clones of 2700, FLU and all have picture on GC Hope this long explanations clear things up |

Here is what I did: - Turn off auto roll for GC - I reset the keys to original setting (make sure you copy your DN because you have to re enter again) - Reenter GC keys ( above keys) - Reenter DN keys I am not sure if all these steps are value added, as I am onl able to pick Sentanta sport and nothing else. |

Is there something special about this bin ( different decoding/descrambling algorithms ) ? Any other FTAs that have GC ? What about Fortec Star lifetime ultra with 2.93aT or 2.94aT ? Thanks. |
