I have a 2004 model. The right side of our screen (about 1/4 of it) went blank last week. Yesterday the whole picture started getting narrower and shrinking. What is going on??
There are usually 2, 3, or 4 buffer boards inside your tv (depending on the size) and are located at the very top or bottom.. The control the vertical blocks generating the picture. When one goes out or starts to fail, your tv will lose a part of the picture starting from the corner. At times, bad buffers will also cause the processing chip built onto your PDP Panel's (actual plasma panel) connector/interface to burn.. If that is the case, your panel is considered bad... That problem only occurs in 1 of 10 TV sets that i've seen you your chances are good.
