pannu is right. it isnt easy to do sometimes, even for someone who has set a bunch up. Check your allignment settings again. You may have to move it around slowly while someone watches the signal strength. Patience

First off you need a calculator to get right angles etc. Elevation and direction.

Here is a calculator
http://www.kusat.com/install/calculator2.php

You could use a compass as well.

Also try and find a dish in the area that is pointing at bev and picture it on a clock in your head.

The numbers on that you are watching, quality etc do not really mean anything until you have the signal.

There is a beeper on your receiver that needs to be turned on in your fta menu.

It will beep when you find the signal..

You might want to find a how to on it also. Every good sat forum has a how to.

good luck

if you have dick net coming then do this.

stand behind ur dish then move your bev dish about one foot to the left and about 1 inch down

Good advice above. Signal stregth will tell you that you're in the ball park - so this should be at least 90%. Signal quality is the fine tuning - but you still need a high level to get picture.

Stick with the basic

- Steady dish point and alignment
- Good shielded cables(RG-6) and sealed connectors
- Must match LNB type to receiver santenna settings
- Don't use any switches or multiple receivers as a start with scanning one Satellite at a time.
- I would turn scan beeper on or use Satellite finder $8 off e-bay
your pole.
Upload
- I would print King's clock to know the relative Satellite fixed position and put it on
