Another problem which is more important is I have trouble loading the bin with the usb to rs232 cable. It worked fine with the cool 6000 but I cant get it to work with the pansat. Any tips would be great. I have a laptop thats why i need this usb cable. I have to go over to a friends house to do it with the regular cable and im getting tired of that. To get an idea of what im using . Its not an adapter that connects to the cable provided with the box. But a cable that is a usb to rs 232 to be more specific.
This is a common serious problem for many people...some puters and receivers simply will NOT accept these various adapters and drivers...Most FTA receivers were made for SERIAL port computers, NOT USB ports...thats why I always suggest a "USB READY" receiver like a sonicview 4000 or the VS Ultra..plus using a USB stick, there is no need to disconnect cables and move receiver room to room just to upload a file...
For U who are stuck with cable only FTA receivers, U have 2 choices...
1...buy an older cheap computer that has SERIAL ports..this is probalygoing to be cheaper in the long run than option #2...its surely much less aggravating!
2...go to radio shack and keep buying adpters , and hope eventually U will get one that is compatable with your receiver and computer...there is NO standard one that is guaranteed to work...its a hit or miss thing...
Does anyone have the repair for a 2500A Pansat. I can not download the new bin number. I have gone thru all the info and can not find a repair to clean the 2500A of its old bin numbers. Thanks
