ok i just got this satellite installed and the dealer set up everything and working.

But my bro as usual messed up the settings and he probably pressed factory reset which deleted all data.

Now i had to find the channels again by doing a satellite search.

But the thing is most of the channels now say channel scramble and these r the ones that i used to be able to view before.

So can any1 tell me wat i need to do and plz don't use any fancy terms since i'm really new to this system.

My settings r:

LNB power ON
LNB type Single
LNB frequency 11250
Transponder 12224
22KHz Off
Search options All
Network Search On
DisEQc Off
Motor Enable
Legacy Switch Off

all help appreciated

There is anew BIN out for the Sonicview 4000 - BIN 156. A good chance for you to learn to install a BIN. You are in luck that the totalfta site is fully revamped and easy to access.

download the sonicview 4000 BIN to your USB drive, unzip it. Take the USB drive to your Sonicview 4000 and upgrade the BIN via Menu/Installation/USB drive

You still have the alternative to use the serial cable and upload the bin using a loader.
USB drive method is so reliable and trouble fee, I am surprised you do not have USB drive. You can buy is for as low as $6 when on special sale at Future shop.
