did you update your receiver to b75 yet? If not then you have to get that file to update the receiver first then load the 205 bin.

Pansat 2700A should first have a B75 BIN using 27.02 loader. Then you should install the latest BIN - It is 205 now. Make sure you have a genuine Pansat 2700A. Clones will be ruined.

Tonight there is an ECM going on and you may find it difficult to go to many of the forums. If so, Wait till tomorrow.

To upgrade your Pansat 2700A/E to Boot 75 is itself a little tricky. Then you have to load BIN 205 on top of it. You should follow the instructions carefully as posted. Make sure you use loader 27.02

updating pansat2700a,to b-75,, go to menu y do factory default. ,use null modem cable as usual. now you will need ,Gtromloader27.02. b-75 boot file, pansat2700a-070310-b75-120.api and the last 205. Now open loader 27.07 y select b75 boot file, and download it as boot file. it is fast if you see b75 running across ,the update is OK, don't turn off the STB, now select bin file and select factory bin 120 , you will see a line running across forming a rectangle, don't worry about it, let it finish don't turn off you stb, now download 205, when finished the download the stb will turn off and then you will see b75 twice , and then ON , you did it?. turn off you stb and do your settings., a small spoon.

If you dit it wrong, use this files to bring back you STB to boot 6.2 ,,2700A( b6[1][1].2 by rem35, and start again the process. I change back and forth my STB when the 200 bin dosn't works well.

Teddy.
Surely you can read all the posts in this thread and know where to get the files and instructions and how to upgrade your receiver.
You are only hurting yourself and probably not getting the full information, the way you are asking questions.

You need to upgrade to the latest BIN 208.
Till you get it, you can try turning autoroll off on your receiver and then manually update the keys.

All these sites ALWAYS have the latest files, bins, how to's, manuals, guides, dish pointing calulators and tips, hardware info, jtag info, newbie and getting started sections, actively moderated with a no troublemakers and no bashing allowed policy.. and are free, and only require a simple free registration...Your email info is kept private, unless U specify differently..and U will be notified via email of any replies to any questions U may ask (or U can shut that feature off, if U like)..and your IP is sacred and never released..

Many of these specialize in particular FTA receivers as noted next to their links..USE those for your particular receiver manufacturer..

If U want real info, trouble free, no costs, friendly help, no hassles, latest files and manuals, then use these...these are well established, and have a long history, and are the best known sites throughout the entire DSS community now...

Ecoustics is NOT a Dss site, since is has NO files, no manuals, no guides, little info, no specific categories, and is almost impossible to find anything because every thread here has been allowed to be hijacked (because no mods are active) and the Subject does not relate to the posts within it....also Ecoustics is basically an Electronics site for home audio, television, DVDs, stereo's, and things of that nature, NOT FTA satellite information .

So again I highly recommend using ANY of these sites BELOW!....U pick one and use it for fast , friendly info and files, and many of these also have a LIVE chat area what U can get an IMMEDIATE response from reliable knowlegeable sources!...U will save yourself much time, especially if you are a newbie to this hobby!...and most all also will have the latest keys posted as well, and the keymaster, keyripper, key grabber utility files to download as well....and if plastic is your thing , some also have an area for that as well as FTA..Good Luck and enjoy this hobby!

Pansat 2700A/E Boot 7.5 Upgrade 03-11-07

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

""These are the instructions I used and it worked. There are a couple of steps beyond the original BL version that I include to make it a smooth transition.

All files are in the zip file attached.

1. Do a factory reset.
2. Load file 115 (latest factory file available for boxes BEFORE upgrade)
3. Start up the loader v27.02 (THIS IS A NEW LOADER and is required for all B75 level files.
4. Select the file BOOT 2700A.......0310.bin and select BOOT FILE ONLY
5. Power the receiver ON at the rear switch and start the download. The front display will show B75 moving across if successful when finished.
6. Open the API file X87_BL_070311_B75_200_API.bin and select API file on the loader. (NOTE: Any api file after 10 Mar 07 should work if/when they are later issued) When complete, the box should say B75 and then switch to "ON" if you followed the instructions completely. If you did not return your box to factory state first, it will switch to a channel number instead of "ON" but may also fail. Shortcuts are user decisions.

DO NOT power off until steps are completed. Failure to follow instructions can result in potential damage.""""

4q2

Ok those are pretty much the official instructions, now I'll tell you my experience.
Steps 1, 2 and 3 were done, of course with no problems.
Step 4 is where I had problems and I never saw the B-75 flash across my receivers screen, just the green dash going back and forth, maybe that was it but my box wouldn't do what was mentioned.
Flashed my box numerous times with the boot file but it would not show the B-75 message at the end of flashing.
Finally I loaded the 115 factory bin again and instead of turning off my receiver from the back, I left it on.
I then selected the 2700A.......0310.bin {BOOT ONLY} and flashed it while my receiver was still on, low and behold it took and b-75 flashed on my receivers display.
I was then able to load the X87_BL_070311_B75_200_API.bin, again with my receiver still on and it loaded perfectly with b-75 on my receivers display until the box powered off by itself.
Receiver then rebooted with b-75 showing on the display and it going to on.
I'm not recommending the steps I did but it worked for me.
Follow the recommended steps before my crazy steps, if you get stuck you may want to try what worked for me.
I will warn you not to interrupt the flashing procedure until you see the loader tell you that the download was successful..
You can do damage to your receiver that may require a jtag.
The kit below also has the new B-75 loader found at PansatUSA, included.

LK, I loaded the B75 boot file followed by 208 bin. The download was successful, the receiver switched back to "ON" as expected. However, the blind scan still doesn't find any transponders. I checked the alignment, cable etc and everything is ok, as it was before. Any ideas what's the problem here and what else I should try? The Echo 3/Ku Antenna setup parameters are following:
LNB type: Standard
LNB Freq: 11250
22KHz: OFF
SiSEqC: OFF
Legacy SW: SW21 Dish1
Skew: 45
TP: (1)12223 V20.000
Positioner Setting: Disable
Satellite Scan: ALL
Level is at 45-46%
Quality is 0%

Your dish is NOT aligned properly...everything is NOT OK...

"Level is at 45-46%"...should be at least 70%

and those settings will vary based on what type LNB's and switches and switch ports U are using...there is NO such thing as "standard" settings that works for every setup...each receiver cable, and hardware setup is differnt...

LK, Seems like the signal strength indicator on the receiver is not working right. It is constantly giving a level of 46% and quality 0, even if I remove the coax cable from the LNB. I've tried a blind scan repeatedly while moving the dish but no luck. Is there another way?

DssCcommunity has a "clones" section...and the Pansat 2500, 2700 and 3500 clone files as well as the Coo*lsat 4000 clones files are posted there..

Vortex sold 2500, 2700 and 3500 clones...and he still supports them....and don dinero also supports the 2700 clone...so for the 2700 , there a 2 different clone files available..most people don't know about Vortex..

If u are interested, look in the "Pansat Files" area...and also check the "Clones" area...U will see 2700 clone files in BOTH sections...

The problem for NO SIGNAL for PANSAT receivers are power. If you want to try, just put the same cable which is going to PANSAT into any DISHNETWORK receiver, and check the signal. Surprise!! you will see there is a signal but if you put it back to PANSAT that sker does not work. This is because, DISHNETWORK receivers gives power to the dish, so signals are good, where as PANSAT receivers does not have that feature. So, you need to buy POWERED switches, then everything works fine.

NOTE: all this you have to do after successfully installation of bins.

ALL THE BEST!!

The switch which comes between the satellite and receiver. like dp34 etc, needs power in it. So, there are some dish network switches which comes with a power plug, use that and put the plug in your wall, you are all set. Google for "Dishnetwork Powered switches", you should find someone selling it. Try in ebay.
