oh yeah it will . dish network work anywhere you go . even australia . all you do is take with you the box. and take with the dishes. and once yiu are in africa install them and ready to go . you can have also bev sat yes and direct tv also in africa.
Actually nagra2 in North Africa & Europe with 30" dish DIGI TV http://www.lyngsat-com/packages/digi.html Central Africa 36" to 50" Digi TV on Intelsat 10-02 at 1.0°W
PAL or NTSC don't matter VU-Sat receiver is a typical box that will work I never tried it, but should work (trust me) Although it requres Linear LNB but circular will get 12.5G Hz frequency King
In Africa/Europe one of the available service is DIGI TV It is not called dish network however it uses nagra-2 encryption a basic Vu-Sat with auto roll will get same programs that DN offer, like HBO, CNN, ESPN etc.
It is like BEV and DN Also if DTV one day get hacked in Europe it will be SKY cuz it uses DSS videoguard For that you must have FTA QPSK receiver
I got some great news DTV started to use HD MPEG-4 8PSK. 1440x1080i Still I think too risky to hack it until DN and BEV completely gone. But it is closer step to use HD FTA I don't advice anyone to buy FTA HD receivers yet.
lucky africa has different programing . dishnet is not available . think of distance and no dish sat installed around the coverage area. to understand how thing works with satelitte . there is a software that gives you an idea about the coverage of all satelitte around the world . jowhar salamtake.
