The equiptment: Early 90's 81cm Sony Trinitron TV and brand new LG DVD player.
The problem: All movies play fine, except 1. It's a DVD-Music disc, Region 0, DVD-9, some opera/orchestra thing. The concert is split in 2 (Menu = part 1 and part 2 of the concert). Part one plays fine. In part 2, the audio is VERY static-y, very noticable during bass-y bits.
The troubleshooting, so far: The disc has been replaced with another. On another TV/DVD it works fine for the whole disc, so you would say it's not a problem with the disc. I've tried another DVD player on the same TV and it's still crackly (not the DVD player problem). I've played around with turning surround off, stereo off, all other audio settings that come with the disc and dvd players. (not a setting problem).
Limitations: The TV has a SCART input only. (so can't bypass sound with composite, etc.)
