New member Username: NicklPost Number: 1 Registered: Jul-07 | The picture on my mitsubishi diamond 65" rear projection TV keeps dimming and brightening at random. it seems to dim down in "steps" (it's not a fluid action, but quantum), with about 1 second in between each "step", then it will brighten up in the same fashion... what's wrong? think this TV is only a little over 3 years old, I bought it last year from a friend...what's the deal with it? |

The lamps in rear projection TVs generally need to be replaced every 2 to 3 years, so if it the TV is over 3 years old, it's probably time. You might check out Discount Merchant Electronics at http://www.Discount-Merchant.com/?Click=1975 - the company carries original Philips brand lamps, which is what most rear projection TVs are manufactured with.
