My Sony Trinitron Color Tv model KV-32S40 has a problem.
When I start it up, the tv takes its normal time to turn the tube on, but then flashes for up to 20 minutes, then finally comes on.
AND, sometimes throughout the day/night the tv will start to flash again. I do not know if the sound comes off and on (never actually pay attention), but when the tube turns on...I see the channel numbers in the upper right of the screen. I do NOT hear the click that happens when I first turn the tv on, so I dont think the problem is in the power supply.
I just took the back off, and do not see any cold solder joints, nor puffed caps.
