Need 2700a/e or clone j-tag software

I did my first j-tag !Its alive and doing fine. Was given a dead box to keep and play with, but I was thinking will doing the j-tag.Woundn't it be possible to flash the e prom as a genuine ,if u have a clone ,to make it think and work as a genuine so u never need a clone safe bin again ? Anyone ever try that ?
