Bronze Member Username: DopestyzoDallas, Tx Usa Post Number: 14 Registered: Jun-06 | have a directv dish. i dont really know what type of lnb it is. I used to catch 110 and after a storm, im catching 119w. I once was able to get 110 and 119 but the signal quality droped to like 20% so i moved back to 119. Now i only catch 119 on both wires. |

Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 9538 Registered: Jan-06 | jason...u have some great eyes..I can't read the screens. |
Silver Member Username: HardrockstrikerPost Number: 835 Registered: Apr-06 | Actually, I just looked at the pictorals to the right of his settings. It's for us cavemen who can't read. LOL It's a C00lsat thing. |
Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 9540 Registered: Jan-06 | yeah I recognize the coo*lsat screens with committed/uncommitted thing...but how can U see 2 LNB's on dish...or 2 diffrent satellites on the receiver settings?...maybe he has just a dual lNB (not 2 duals or a twin)aimed at the 119 ,and maybe both settings are for the 119 (I dunno, I can't see it)..and in dark pic outside, can't tell if 2 dishes are working and hooked to a switch... |
Silver Member Username: HardrockstrikerPost Number: 836 Registered: Apr-06 | Yeah, I see your point. I had to make an assumption that he somehow has two lnbs (or perhaps one lnb on two dishes, like in the nightime photo) because he mentioned "two wires". But I can see the satellites in the orange bar. At least the dude provided photos. |

Silver Member Username: HardrockstrikerPost Number: 837 Registered: Apr-06 | Maybe, but I do get blown up and electrocuted more than 007 (especially by faulty Viewsat low-voltage power supplies. LOL) |
Bronze Member Username: DopestyzoDallas, Tx Usa Post Number: 15 Registered: Jun-06 | Thanx everyone for your contribution. Sorry for the unclear situation. The upper sat is catching Bev and the other is focus on DN. I had commited both to 1, thats why i couldn't catch it. Its ok now so my appreciation goes to everyone that contributed. my only problem now is when i bridge both cables to the reciever, the signal drops on the 119 but its not the case when i take one cable off |
Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 9550 Registered: Jan-06 | How many LNB's do u have....what type?....what sats are LNB aimed at?...what kind of "bridge?...what switch?...there are many unclear issues here..the "bridge" (aka switch, I think is what U mean) depends on how many and what type LNB's.. |
Bronze Member Username: DopestyzoDallas, Tx Usa Post Number: 16 Registered: Jun-06 | Only 1 lnb (dish in top pictures)https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-video/355295.jpg . Aimed at 110/119. i have a regular spliter from old cable instalations. I used that to combine both 110 & 119 to the reciever. I have strong signals without the combination. I bought a new spliter today (dbs video diplexer) i want try. |
Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 9558 Registered: Jan-06 | 1 LNB = only 1 satellite, NOT 2 satellites like 110 AND 119.. U MUST have a DEDICATED LNB for EACH satellite U want to receive signals from.. Also U cannot combine 2 satellites with a cable "splitter"..or a diplexer |
Silver Member Username: DoreenakadjPost Number: 363 Registered: Dec-06 | Lk is right .. 1 LMB means only 1 sattelite. if you are getting 2... you are really only picking up 110 echo 8/10 |
Silver Member Username: HardrockstrikerPost Number: 838 Registered: Apr-06 | Dope, just put all of your lnbs, from both dishes, into one disecq switch. Maybe your DN dish has a twin lnb? If it does then it may have a built-in switch. Either way it sounds like conflicting ports. |
Bronze Member Username: DopestyzoDallas, Tx Usa Post Number: 17 Registered: Jun-06 | Lovely. shoutout to Lk, jason, Doreen and all. I got it running. its a twin lnb but the problem was the splitter. I hooked it to DP34 switch and it works like some David copperfield sh1t. i guess this will be the end of my harassment. thanx So i wanna tell all newbies. always use a DP34 |
