i have a dish500 with 2 spokes(i dont no what they are called) with 119 and 110 written on them and four wires coming out of the dish. i hooked one of the wires with a pansat 2700a. i installed the latest prog on it with the latest keys. after few trials and error i got 80% level and 90% quality on echo 3/ku satellite. when i run a scan, i get all the eng channels like hist, mtv, bbc, fox, discovery, etc. the problem is that i want to get south asian channels on it. so do i have to change my direction of dish or wht? any help is appreciated
well...you cannot get echo 3 channels because your satellites are 110 and 119. Echo 3 is facing 61.5 west. In order for you to get these channels, go buy another dish 500 with a single lnb and point it at 61.5w. (You can get it done professionaly or simply do it yourself by aiming...you will need very little tools which can be bought from home depot or even online)
Once you get yourself another dish..buy yourself a dp34 switch so you can watch all 3 satellites at once.
