Enhanced Definition TV is just SDTV well packaged at a higher price. its just digital. In the United States, the ATSC official DTV formats include SDTV, and HDTV. EDTV is considered part of the HDTV standard. EDTV was the real marketing terms used to bind the all types of digital Consumer Electronics Association is the one behind it to promote it.
