yes , the receiver type doesn't matter with any LNBtypes.....I highly recommend U NOT use the DP Plus, but if U must then OK...and use no switches.
U cannot get HD channels unless U have a HD FTA receiver..
go to www.lyngsat.com and see which channels are on the 118.8...which u will not get with the Dish 500 plus setup...u will get 110-119 (TWIN LNB)..U may want to check out the 61.5 for 2nd dish
DISH 500 PLUS uses DUAL BAND LNBF ( for 110 and 118) and a DP PRO LNBF (for 119). I can only install 1 dish (condo restriction), so I have to get a dish which can receive 3 satellites. I am not sure what DUAL BAND LNBF is.
Dish 500 Pro PLUS has a DPP Twin LNB (110-119 and input from a 2nd dish)...
get a Dish 500 Pro satellite...it has a Dish Pro (not Plus) DP Twin LNB that gets the 110 and 119 Dishnet satellites, about 800-900 channels..but make sure u have a clear view of the SW...
