Model Philips Magnavox 60" 8P6034C101 .No matter how I adjust the bightness, colors, or anything else, the picture is soupy and very dim. I noticed that the PartStore.com wants 400 bucks per bulb. Is there any point in trying to get it fixed at a electronics shop? Open to opinions; Thanks for reading!
Can you not replace the bulb yourself? Look for a small door with a screw. If not then you'll have to get it done professionally. If you haven't replaced the bulb since you bought the TV then it's on it's way out.
Daniel, I remember one more thing about the older model projection TV's the lenses needed to be realigned on occasion. That may cost you a pretty penny. Why not add it all up and look to buy something new?
