I personally think it is some allience or joint venture with DTV receiving from their Satellite Network and retransmitting back via fibor optic phone lines. It is a great production good competition to Cable and Satellite I don't know what receivers they use but I think it is COSHIP (SAME MAKER AS TRAXIS)Possible receiver decoders like following check my links: http://www.dvbresource.com/receivers/coship_2300b/coship_2300b_1.html http://www.dvbresource.com/receivers/coship_3188c/coship_3188c_1.html There is another company does the HD. I don't know who it is Let me know if U find anything about the HD with Towers and Antennas. Too bad these small companies with great ideas can't pull it together. |

Post Number: 1775 Registered: Nov-06 | King, yrs ago there was company in town offering that.I can't remember the name, but as I recall it never took off before going code 9.The way it was explained to me was it was just about the same as sat,but having the microwave tower earth bound at horizon level made it almost impossible to get a clear line of site for most customer's antanaes. That was it's major problem, most ppl couldn't get a clear line of site to hit the tower.Combined with the introduction and expansion and hacked sat,it never had a chance. |

I got so excited and have been following their progress but it never took off. Similarly Mini Disc MP3 was developed by Sony early 1990, consumer was never interested it never took off. Today the format of MP3 is the biggest Audio product in the market. I'm 100% positive the format of Terrestrial Antennas and Microwave towers will be a great competition to both Cable and Satellite IF IT IS HANDLED BY A COMPETITIVE MONOPLY Company. Such as Sprint, Cingles. The cost is a lot cheaper than Satellite in terms of overhead expenses. It is just have to be handled by some Super Power Company. Combining Internet, TV, Mobile phones. Along with Pocket TV, who knows maybe best solution for broadcast to portable TVs (cars, mobile homes or just on the beach) Imagine watching a Stanley Cup Hockey game right on the beach Trust me this is the future It is started to come on board in Finland, Australia, UK Remember this thread guys |
