snow effect is the best way i can describe this issue:
Just received the the DLP YESTERDAY. For about 1-2 hrs it was working great. WHAT A PICTURE. and then all of sudden 3hrs into it started to create a snow effect over the great picture (but the picture stays). Its as if the opacity on the snow pixels were set to medium so i can annoyingly view the show at the same time.
I would go to a regular channel and the same thing would occur as the HD channel. I put a DVD to view and i would see white dots all over the screen randomly (never in the same place).
If i shut the unit down for an hour and start it back up its fine for about 5-10min and then it starts with the "snow over lay" thing.
Anyone see this before? Can this be fixed by myself? Did i just get a lemon?
three more things to note: -Cable box was plugged into HDMI first and i then tried component. I also replaced the cable box. -DVD is plugged into component -DLP is sitting in a hutch but has 2" on the left and right and 6 inches in the back for spacing and venting.
so i can annoyingly view the show at the same time.
