Tuesday, April 10, 2007 - 01:07 GMT I have an older TV that I like. To hook up a DVD player, I got an RF modulator and hooked up the connections per instructions today. The picture from any played DVD shows mostly black/white with bands of overlaying purple and green. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot, Sunny

Thursday, April 12, 2007 - 18:21 GMT I had the same problem and solved it (?) by using a different modulator. radio shack didn't work, philips worked ok. walmart has philips. good luck.

Thursday, April 12, 2007 - 19:03 GMT Thanks for this insight, Zipi. That possibility had not occurred to me. The one I have hooked up is indeed a Radio Shack model. Thanks, Sunny

Thursday, April 12, 2007 - 19:19 GMT philips make more than one model. the one I use is the same general shape as the radio shack, but they also have a fancier model. the results are not always perfect, but watchable. I'll be the last guy to buy a new crt tv. lol looking at a 26" widescreen toshiba crt.
